習志野高校海外英語研修再開！！
昨年度は「新型インフルエンザ」の影響で中止になった「習志野高等学校海外英語研修」が今年度は実施されることになり，姉妹都市であるアメリカ合衆国アラバマ州タスカルーサ市との交流がすでに始まっています。
平成22年6月17日（木） 習志野高校訪問
平成22年6月17日（木）に来日したタスカルーサ市の高校生12名と引率の方2名が習志野高校を訪問されました。その様子を掲載します。
6月17日（木）には習志野高校に12名の高校生と2名の引率の方が1日訪問されました。
まずは，体育館で全校生徒による歓迎会です。生徒会の主催により会はスムーズに進行され，記念品交換のあと，本校吹奏楽部の歓迎演奏で会は最高潮に盛り上がりました。
その後は12名の生徒がいくつかのグループに分かれて，授業に参加しました。趣味や学校生活，好きな食べ物に至るまで，様々な話題で意見交換をしました。お互いにコミュニケーションを図ろうとする姿勢が素晴らしく，貴重な時間となりました。習志野高校の多くの生徒が「今回はコミュニケーションをする機会がなくて非常に残念だった。」「習志野高校へは1日だけでなく2・3日来てほしい。」「今度は私がタスカルーサへ行きたい。」などの声があがりました。
続いて書道室にて有志の生徒たちによる「書道レッスン」となりました。加藤教諭の「書」に関する説明のあと，それぞれ思い思いに筆と墨の感触を楽しんでいました。
昼食後は作法室にて「茶道体験」です。文化の違いに圧倒され，普段は陽気な彼らの神妙な面持ちが印象的でした。
その後は，応接室にて「フリートーク」の時間です。授業や交流会で接触がない生徒のための時間として有志を募ったところ1～3年生で30名を越える応募者がありました。蒸し暑い応接室の中でも活発に交流する姿が見られ，習志野高校の生徒たちの国際交流に対する関心の高さを窺い知ることができました。これからの本校国際交流活動に対する大きな刺激となる時間となりました。
その他様々な場面でタスカルーサ市から来日した高校生12名と習志野高校の生徒が交流することが出来ました。以下にタスカルーサからの高校生が残していった感想文を掲載します。
I appreciated the hospitality shown to me by the teachers and students of Narashino High School. The concert was very impressive also. The extent of the kindness expressed to me is overwhelming and I will be eternally grateful. (Beth)
Thank you so much for inviting us. The Narashino High School Band was amazing. I loved talking with your students. I also loved visiting the clubs and calligraphy class. Your school system has really helped me better understand the Japanese cultrue more! (Amani)
Today was an incredible experience at Narashino High School. I found it incredible that the school offers all that it does. I found it most impressive that the school offers such a variety of sports. I also felt that we were very welcome at the school from all of the students, faculty, and staff. If It was great being able to talk with the students about anything. I really enjoyed this visit to Narashino High School. (Callan)
